Geography, geo-ecology and hydrology
Activities of the Company in the area of geography, geo-ecology and landscape ecology focus mainly on the complex processing and evaluation of data concerning the natural part of landscape (the primary landscape structure) as well as socio-economic activities of man and their manifestation in landscape (the secondary and tertiary landscape structure).

Final synthetic documents about landscape systems can be used in the area of landscape planning and management, hydrology and water management, natural hazards assessment, environmental limits definition, and assessment of the socio-economic activities impact on a state of environment.
Within the scope of the department activities we offer consultations, primary data processing, partial analyses and syntheses, as well as extensive complex projects designing and implementation in the following areas:
Creation of spatial databases for geographic information systems (GIS), landscape planning and geographic, environmental, hydrologic and socio-economic analyses and modelling
- the primary analytic data concerning individual elements of a landscape system processing
- restructuralization, conversion, transformation, generalisation, spatial and contentual consistency of information about individual elements of a landscape system
- further parameters and data layers derivation by analysis and synthesis of primary data (morphographic positional types of georelief, abiocomplexes, representative potential geo-ecosystems, stress factors, conflicts of interests, landscape-ecological complexes ...)
Geo-statistic and spatial modelling
- interpolation of point measuring and modelling of continuous fields of geosystem parameters
- morphometric analysis of a relief, modelling of propagation, visibility, ...
- analysis of spatial dependencies of geosystem parameters and their spatial distribution prediction
- temporal analysis
- network analysis
- logistic optimalization, decision making support Hydrologic and environmental modelling
- modelling of runoff process with the use of physically based distributed precipitation runoff model
- water erosion modelling
- modelling of other natural hazards (water-logging hazard, flood hazard, gully erosion, slope deformations, wind erosion ...)
- modelling of polluting substances propagation
